The Tenement Museum’s Gala on Wednesday, May 6th will be a festive, one-of-a-kind evening that celebrates the importance of family history and storytelling as Windows Onto the American Story. This year's Gala will honor three of the Museum's closest friends and partners: Morris J. Vogel, Tenement Museum President Emeritus (Founders Award) Clint Smith, Author, Scholar & Poet (Gina Manuel Award) Nicki Newman Tanner, Oral Historian & Philanthropist (Holding Up the Torch Award) The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 PM featuring a Lower East Side food marketplace. The hourlong seated program will start promptly at 7:30 PM, followed by a dessert reception.
